Congressional & Administrative Law Clinic


Tomea Mayer Mersmann is Associate Dean for Strategic Initiatives and a Lecturer in Law, helping to guide the law school’s overall strategic planning and working to expand the Congressional & Administrative Law Program, including the clinic, and other programs in Washington, D.C. She has played a key role in developing Washington University’s academic partnership with the Brookings Institution and creating the law school’s January Intersession and other specialized programming. Before assuming her current role, Associate Dean Mersmann headed the law school’s Career Services Office. She also has taught Legal Writing. After receiving her law degree, she practiced corporate and environmental law at the St. Louis firm of Thompson & Mitchell before joining the law school’s administration.
