WashULaw Commencement - May 15, 2015

Washington University School of Law salutes its graduates and their families at Commencement Ceremonies on May 15, 2015. All August 2014, December 2014, May 2015, August 2015, and December 2015 law graduates will be invited to participate in both the university and law school ceremonies.

The festivities will begin with the University Commencement Ceremony in the Brookings Quadrangle. Please remember that tickets are not needed for Commencement in the Brookings Quadrangle. 

A reception for graduates, alumni, and guests will be held in Anheuser-Busch Hall, Crowder Courtyard (No. 301) immediately following the university ceremony.

The Washington University School of Law Ceremony will begin with the law school processional into the Brookings Quadrangle. Professor Stephen Legomsky will represent the law school faculty as the 2015 Faculty Marshal. JD Class Marshals will be Nicole D. Berkowitz and Lucas R. Deppermann, and the LLM Class Marshal will be Rana Abdulaziz Almaghrabi.

Nancy Staudt, dean and Howard & Caroline Cayne Professor of Law, will deliver Remarks to the Graduates. JD candidate Isaac William Amon and JSD candidate Silvana Del Valle Bustos will be the Class Speakers of 2105. Elizabeth Walsh, associate dean for student services, and Peter Cramer, assistant dean of Graduate and International Programs will read the names for the presentation of diplomas. Tickets are not needed for family members to attend the law ceremony.


Commencement Ceremonies will be held in the Brookings Quadrangle rain or shine. If the weather is sufficiently threatening to endanger safety, many of the commencement activites will be subject to change, please click here to view the most updated information concerning the law school graduates.     7:40 am: Class Photo, east side of Olin Library
    8:10 am: University Processional Lineup, east side of Olin Library
    8:30 am: University Commencement Ceremony at the Brookings Quadrangle
  11:00 am (approx.)Law School Reception in A-B Hall, Crowder Courtyard (immediately following University ceremony)
  12:30 pm: Law School Recognition Ceremony line up at the Brookings Quadrangle, Ridgley Hall
   1:00 pm (NEW TIME) : Law School Recognition Ceremony at the Brookings Quadrangle

After Commencement

Diplomas
Diplomas will be available after the law school ceremony, under the overhang of Ridgley Hall.

If a graduate is unable to attend Commencement, his or her diploma will be held for pickup until June 1, 2015, at: Office of Student Records | Olin Women's Building | Room 50, lower level |(314) 935-5959 | Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Diplomas not picked up by June 1, 2015, will be mailed to the address listed on the student's intent to graduate form.
