Diplomas

Washington University Law Commencement 2007

May 2008 graduating students will be receiving their diplomas at the law school ceremony.   August and December graduates will receive their diploma covers during the ceremony.  If a graduate will not be attending Commencement, his or her diploma will be held in the Student Records Office, Women’s Building, Lower Level, until June 1st 2008.  Diplomas that are not picked up by that date will be mailed to the address listed on the student’s Intent to Graduate form.

Severe Weather Plans

In the event of violent weather (more than rain, but less than the apocalypse), the University Commencement Ceremony will be held at 8:30 a.m. in the Field House of the Athletic Complex, and will be converted to an undergraduate only degree ceremony due to space constraints.  The same weather conditions may prompt the law school ceremony to be removed into the recreational gym.  On the morning of the ceremony, if you are concerned about the weather, please call the commencement hotline (314-935-4355) or the law school weather hotline (314-935-6400 – press 7, press 3) for notice of the decision to move the ceremony indoors.  If the ceremony is moved indoors, students are asked to report to the Bryan Cave Moot Courtroom at 10:15 a.m. for the class photo.  After the photo is taken, students will proceed to line up by 10:45 at the squash courts inside the recreational gym (north side).  Processional will begin at 11:00 a.m.
