VISITING THE CLINICS

The Legal Clinic is on the first floor of Anheuser-Busch Hall in Rooms 105-127.  Anheuser-Busch Hall is located on Snow Way, just west of Throop Drive, on the Danforth Campus of Washington University in St. Louis.  There is a semi-circle drive in front (on the north side) of the building leading from Snow Way to the main doors.

Once inside the building, the entrance to the Legal Clinic is the first door on the left.  During business hours, the door will be open; if you have a meeting scheduled outside of business hours, please ring the bell for assistance.

Please note that upon entering Anheuser-Busch Hall from the south (e.g. from the Danforth garage or other buildings on the interior of the campus) you will be on the third floor of the building. Walk or take the elevator down to the first floor to the Legal Clinic.

Danforth Garage - Visitor parking is conveniently located in the Danforth University Center Garage. The charge is $1.00 per hour, with a maximum charge of $5.00 for the day. Payment will be required upon exiting the garage; cash and credit cards are accepted. The Danforth University Center Garage is designated as number 82 on the Campus Parking Map.

MetroLink Lambert Branch
(operates between Lambert Airport Main and Shiloh–Scott):
Take any train to the Forest Park DeBaliviere station.  Transfer to a Shrewsbury/I-44-bound train and take it to the University City/Big Bend station.  After you leave the MetroLink station, walk east along Forest Park Parkway about 300 yards to Throop Drive.  (If you are walking east the University will be on your right.)  Turn right on Throop Drive and walk about 100 yards to the stop sign.  (This is the intersection of Throop Drive and Snow Way; Anheuser-Busch Hall is the building to the right of the intersection.)  Turn right onto Snow Way.  Anheuser-Busch Hall will be on your left, with a semi-circle drive in front of the main doors.  Enter through the main doors.  Once you are inside the building, the Legal Clinic door will be the first one on your left.  During business hours the door will be open; if you have a meeting scheduled outside of business hours, please ring the bell for assistance. 

MetroLink Shrewsbury Branch
(operates between Shrewsbury–Lansdowne I-44 and Emerson Park):
Take any train to the University City/Big Bend station.  After you leave the MetroLink station, walk east along Forest Park Parkway about 300 yards to Throop Drive.  (If you are walking east the University will be on your right.)  Turn right on Throop Drive and walk about 100 yards to the stop sign.  (This is the intersection of Throop Drive and Snow Way; Anheuser-Busch Hall is this building to the right of the intersection.)  Turn right onto Snow Way.  Anheuser-Busch Hall will be on your left, with a semi-circle drive in front of the main doors.  Enter through the main doors.  Once you are inside the building, the Legal Clinic door will be the first one on your left.  During business hours the door will be open; if you have a meeting scheduled outside of business hours, please ring the bell for assistance.

MetroBus
The MetroBus Gold Line (#01) and Red Line (#02) both stop at the Mallinckrodt Center on the Danforth Campus of Washington University.  From the Mallinckrodt Center stop, walk west along Forsyth about 500 yards to Olympian Way.  (If you are walking west the bus stop will be behind you on your right.)  Turn right on Olympian Way and walk about 200 yards to a large turn-around circle.  Once you reach the circle, continue straight (there is a walking path) for another 100 yards to Anheuser-Busch Hall, but do not enter the building here.  Instead, turn left, follow the path around the side of the building, and head down the outside stairs (Anheuser-Busch Hall will be on your right and a parking garage will be on your left).  At the bottom of the stairs, turn right and enter through the main doors on your right.  Once you are inside the building, the Legal Clinic door will be the first one on your left.  During business hours the door will be open; if you have a meeting scheduled outside of business hours, please ring the bell for assistance.

BY CAR

From Downtown St. Louis (East): 

  • Take Interstate 64/Highway 40 West to the Clayton Rd./Skinker Blvd. exit (#34A).
  • At the top of the ramp, turn right onto S. Skinker Blvd.
  • Turn left onto Forest Park Parkway.
  • Proceed west on Forest Park approximately 1/2 mile to Throop Drive; turn left at the light onto Throop.
  • Proceed on Throop Dr. to the top of the hill, then turn right at the stop sign onto Snow Way Drive.
  • Anheuser-Busch Hall is located on Snow Way, to the right of the parking garage. There is a semi-circle drive in front.

From the West (via US Interstates 64/Highway 40 East): 

  • Take Interstate 64 / Highway 40 East to the Big Bend exit (#33A) and turn left onto S. Big Bend.
  • At the bottom of the hill, turn right onto Forest Park Parkway.
  • At the first stop light, turn right onto Throop Drive.
  • Proceed on Throop Dr. to the top of the hill, then turn right at the stop sign on to Snow Way Drive.
  • Anheuser-Busch Hall is located on Snow Way, to the right of the parking garage.  There is a semi-circle drive in front.

From the East or South (via Interstates 55 North/44 West): 

  • From Interstate 55 North, merge onto Interstate 44 West (exit #207B).
  • Take the Hampton Ave. exit (#286).
  • Turn right onto Hampton Ave.
  • Turn left toward Interstate 64 West/Highway 40 West.
  • Merge onto I-64/US-40, but stay in far right lane to merge onto Clayton Rd./Skinker Blvd. exit (#34A).
  • Take Clayton Rd./Skinker Blvd. exit (#34A) and then turn right at the top of the hill onto Skinker Blvd.
  • Turn left onto Forest Park Parkway.
  • Proceed west on Forest Park approximately 1/2 mile to Throop Drive; turn left at the light onto Throop.
  • Proceed on Throop Dr. to the top of the hill, then turn right at the stop sign onto Snow Way Drive.
  • Anheuser-Busch Hall is located on Snow Way, to the right of the parking garage.  There is a semi-circle drive in front.

From the North (via US Interstate 70) to: 

  • Take Interstate 170 South to the Forest Park Parkway exit (#1E).
  • Continue on Forest Park Parkway past Big Bend Blvd.
  • After Big Bend, turn right at the first stop light onto Throop Drive.
  • Proceed on Throop Dr. to the top of the hill, then turn right at the stop sign onto Snow Way Drive.
  • Anheuser-Busch Hall is located on Snow Way, to the right of the parking garage.  There is a semi-circle drive in front.

Parking:
You may park in the Forsyth (Danforth) Parking Garage located on Wallace Drive (which is off of Forsyth). [map] Exit the garage using the North Stair and Elevator (located on each level of the garage).  Once outside, turn left and follow the walking path for about 300 yards then take the first right on the path.  When you turn right, Anheuser-Busch Hall will be about 100 yards in front of you along the path.  Once you reach the building, do not enter but instead turn left, follow the path around the side of the building, and head down the outside stairs (Anheuser-Busch Hall will be on your right).  At the bottom of the stairs, turn right and enter through the main doors on your right.  Once you are inside the building, the Legal Clinic door will be the first one on your left.  During business hours the door will be open; if you have a meeting scheduled outside of business hours, please ring the bell for assistance.

Taxis
If you are flying into Lambert International Airport, you can find taxis outside Exit MT 14 of the Main Terminal and Exit ET 12 and ET 14 of the East Terminal. Fares to Washington University will run about $30-$40, plus tip.

Driving from the airport to the Law School
Take the I-70E exit toward St. Louis.  Take I-170 south to the Forest Park Pkwy exit (#1E).  After approx. 2.5 miles, take a right onto Throop Drive.  The Law School (Anheuser-Busch Hall) is to the right of the intersection of Throop Drive and Snow Way. 

Public transportation from the airport to the Law School
MetroLink is St. Louis’ light rail system.  The airport stops are located on the upper level of the Main Terminal at Exit MT1 and the East Terminal though the parking garage on all levels.  MetroLink operates daily from 5am until midnight with tickets priced at $3.75 for an adult one-way trip from the Airport, less for seniors and children under 12.  Children under 5 ride for free.
