Alumni Council Offers New Volunteering Opportunities

Alumnus Spotlight
David W. Detjen, who co-chairs Alston & Bird LLP’s International Practice Group, has been awarded the Order of Merit from the Federal Republic of Germany. He received the award, which is the highest tribute that the Federal Republic of Germany can pay to individuals for services to the nation, at the German Consul General's residence in Manhattan. Awards Nominations Sought
The Distinguished Law Alumni Awards Committee is seeking nominations for 2009 awardees. The awards honor alumni who have obtained distinction in their professional or academic careers. Those being honored share the same characteristics of leadership, progressive thinking, high standards, uncompromising integrity, commitment, courage, and confidence. Their careers serve as models for Washington University Law students and alumni. Please submit a recommendation by letter, email or fax on or before April 14, 2008.
