Frequently Asked Questions
Does my $50 gift to the Annual Fund really make a difference?
A gift to the Annual Fund, no matter the amount, will help support the School’s continuing success and help the Law School reach its participation goal. Alumni participation continues to be important because many of our peer schools have much higher participation rates. The School of Law needs to increase participation to maintain its quality and reputation as a top 20 law school. Participation is also important because it sends a message to potential students that Washington University School of Law graduates value the degree they received. With support from each alum, we can help the School of Law remain strong.
Take a look at how we stack up against some of our peers in alumni giving in fiscal year 2009:
| University of Southern California | 20% |
| Duke | 26% |
| Northwestern; | 25% |
| University of Michigan | 28% |
| University of Virginia | 53% |
| Washington University School of Law | 23% |
Every gift, regardless of the amount, will help the Law School reach its participation goal of 25% for fiscal year 2010.
